Radiation oncology physics, Shanghai

Making radiotherapymore precise and smarter.

I'm Hongwei Zeng, a medical physicist at Shuguang Hospital, Shanghai. I work on adaptive radiotherapy, lattice radiotherapy and deep-learning tools that keep treatment plans accurate from the first fraction to the last.

What I work on

Adaptive radiotherapy

Using daily CBCT and deep learning to see what the anatomy did today, then re-plan around it.

Lattice radiotherapy

Making spatially fractionated boosts deliver as planned, from gamma passing rates to dose monitoring.

Clinical and data studies

Bibliometrics, network pharmacology and retrospective studies with clinical and pharmacology collaborators.

About me

I lead the physics technology group in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Shuguang Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I trained in medical physics at Fudan University (M.S.), and I sit on the Physics Group of the Branch Association of Radiation Oncology of Shanghai Medical Association and on the committee of the Medical Imaging Computing Seminar (MICS). Along the way I have led four Shanghai municipal and other grants and filed seven patent applications, two of them granted.
